Service Description

Women have been asked, "Bear or the man?" But what if you felt prepared wherever adventure takes you? The Confident Explorer is a women's safety workshop designed to help you feel confident, capable, and prepared, whether you're hiking a local trail or traveling across the world. In the first half, you'll learn practical outdoor safety, trip planning, and essential hiking and camping skills from Amy Long with Wandering Wild, who lead women's wilderness expeditions throughout North America. You'll also receive a curated 10 Essentials Kit and learn how to use every item with confidence. In the second half, nationally recognized safety expert Edgy Gazelle, a retired Federal Agent with experience in over 30 countries across five continents, will teach practical women's self-defense, situational awareness, and travel safety for both domestic and international adventures. You'll also receive a personal safety tool designed specifically for women by Edgy Gazelle. Enjoy light refreshments and wine in this welcoming, beginner-friendly class, and leave with new skills, practical gear, and the confidence to say yes to your next adventure.
